People are talking about this movie earlier this year. Most person responded positively to it. Me, on the hand, did not.
In 1979, a film crew travel from "Houston" to a small property out in the country to shoot a porn film. Maxine (Goth) wonders around the property at she realizes something is not right with the "elderly" couple that lives in the main house start to freak her out.
Let me say this out right. I hated this movie. Truly. Nothing happens in the first hour of the movie. There is the making of the porno that happens in the first half, but holy shit. I was thinking in my mind that I wish all of them will die. I don't care.
I was pissed off that the crew left "Houston." I was born and raised in Houston. That. Was. Not. Houston. Not in the slightest. It looked more like Beaumont/Port Arthur than Houston. Strike one.
The "elderly" couple in the house. They looked like young people in old makeup. You can't fool me. Strike two.
When the killings finally start, they were the same predictable threaded territory that we have seen. I know what was going to happen before it happened. I'm not Nostradamus. This film was that predictable and boring. Strike three. I'm out.
